Heat Pumps significantly reduce CO2 emissions

Because of its high COP ratings, Heat Pump technology produces a significantly
smaller carbon footprint in comparison to conventional heating systems.
In real terms, they have the smallest impact on the environment in comparison
to any other forms of heating.

Gas heating produces 0.20kg of CO2 per kW hour
A 4kW gas heating system with a typical COP of 0.85
Produces 0.94kg CO2 per kW hour
Electricity produces 0.15kg of CO2 per kW hour
A 4kW Heat Pump system with a typical COP of 3.5
Produces only 0.17kg CO2 per kW hour
This is an 81% reduction in CO2 emissions per kW Hour!
Simply put, the more energy efficient a heating system is, the cheaper it is to run. And, the more energy
efficient a heating system is, the smaller its carbon footprint will be.
